Janet began her legal career as a general family law practitioner with a focus on marriage dissolution and child custody. For 10 years, Janet served as a Court Appointed Guardian Ad Litem representing the interests of children in cases of abuse/neglect and contested custody matters. Janet's practice also included estate planning and probate litigation. After 10 years of practice, Janet has taken a sabbatical to develop a vacation resort property at Lake of the Ozarks, where she focuses on real estate and zoning issues.
